Hey, I'm Jon Alden. I run Alden Tech out of the Spartanburg / Greenville area. I've spent 25+ years in Information Technology — including 15+ years supporting manufacturing environments, where downtime is measured in lost production and "it usually works" isn't good enough. Alden Tech is that same standard applied to gaming PCs.

Before that, I served in the United States Air Force from 1995 to 2000 as an Aerospace Propulsion Journeyman — a jet-engine mechanic. The job was equal parts precision and paperwork: torque specs, borescope inspections, and a signed checklist behind every task, because an engine that "seems fine" isn't good enough when someone's life depends on it. A gaming PC that boots isn't a gaming PC that's done — it gets stress-tested, thermally verified, and documented before it goes out the door.

Why Alden Tech Exists

Big-box prebuilts often cut corners on cooling, power supplies, motherboards, or upgrade options. Marketplace listings can be hard to trust if you do not know what parts were used, how the PC was built, or whether it was properly tested. Alden Tech is my answer to that — quality parts, clean cable management, proper airflow, fresh Windows installs, and real stress testing before sale.

How I Build

• Quality over volume — I'd rather build fewer machines properly than push units out the door.
• Transparency about parts — you get the actual parts list, brand and model, not "16GB RAM" and a shrug.
• Testing you can check — stability testing, thermal verification, and benchmarks are run on every build, and results from your specific machine are handed over with it.

Working With Me

I aim to respond to inquiries within one business day. Alden Tech is a service-area business — there's no retail storefront. Pickup is arranged by appointment, local delivery is available, and shipping can be arranged where appropriate. Questions about setup, updates, upgrades, or warranty are welcome after the sale.
